64. Col. Champion TRAVIS was born in 1747 in James City Co., VA. He was educated attended the College of William and Mary about 1765 in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was elected as burgess for James City Co. from 1769 to 1775 in James City Co., VA. Champion was in public service justice of the peace and sheriff about 1770 in James City Co., VA. He was a member the Williamsburg Masonic Lodge about 1770 in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was elected as member of the Virginia Convention of 1776 in 1776 in James City Co., VA. Champion honored at the Jamestown founding second Centenial as 1 of 3 surviving 1776 Convention members in 1807 in James City Co., VA. He died on 4 September 1810 at the age of 63 in James City Co., VA. He was buried after 4 September 1810 in Travis Graveyard, Jamestown Island, James City Co., VA.
