| Thomas Champion MARABLE and Seneth ("Sena") Miller McCURDY were married on October 21, 1834, in Newton Co., Georgia. By 1840 they had emigrated to Talladega Co., Alabama. The schedules for the 1850 and 1860 census of Talladega and Calhoun counties in Alabama show the following family for Thomas C. | The antecedents of Thomas C. Marable were long uncertain. Now copies have been located of Bible records which show that he was the only son of Champion Christopher Marable and Mary I. Moreman (daughter of Thomas Moreman of Wilkes Co., Georgia). Christopher Champion Marable (b. 12 Apr1783, VA; d. 11 Jul 1854, Jasper Co., GA) was almost certainly the son of the Rev.[?] Christopher Edward Marable of Charlotte Co., Virginia (b. ca 1755, Lunenburg Co., VA; d. bef. 1 Jun 1795, Charlotte Co., VA), although I am not presently aware of any document which establishes this fact beyond doubt. |
